Governor Noem has issued an Executive Proclamation naming March 2023 as "Public Procurement Month" in recognition of the many contributions made by public procurement professionals and their role in promoting effective, efficient, and transparent state government. During Public Procurement Month the Bureau of Administration takes time to thank purchasing staff from public universities, state agencies, and local governments across the State of South Dakota. In addition, Public Procurement Month provides an excellent opportunity to help educate elected officials, administrators, taxpayers, and vendors about the procurement process and the admirable work public purchasing agencies perform every day.
