- Once a debt is referred to the Center, the Center takes over the responsibility for all payment activity for the debt. The agency or the County Treasurer's Office will instruct you to contact the Obligation Recovery Center to arrange payment of your debt.
- Should I continue to send written correspondence to the Agency or County Treasurer's Office regarding my debt after it is referred to the Center?
- No. Once a debt is referred to the Center, the Agency or County Treasurer's Office will forward to the Center all correspondence it receives from you regarding your debt. To avoid any delay, please send correspondence directly to the Center.
- Should I send my payments to the Agency or County Treasurer's Office for my debt after it has been referred to the Center?
- No. Once a debt is referred to the Center, the Center will handle all payments received from the debtor regarding their debt. Your payments should be sent to the Obligation Recovery Center using one of the methods listed above.
- My spouse and I are both listed on a motor vehicle title. I am the only one that has a debt referred to the Center. Will the State permit my spouse to obtain, renew, or maintain the registration?

No. If your name is on the title, no other person on the title will be able to obtain, renew or maintain the registration until you have satisfied your obligation.
